Product Review

The relative explosion of consumer-oriented telescopes in the past few years has been a boon to the child in all of us who has always wanted to fulfill that dream of traveling to the moon and beyond. Remember back to age 7? Remember when you were just sure that you wanted to be a.

The ETX-90 was hailed by Sky and Telescope and many others when it first appeared as the dream telescope everyone had been waiting for. It looked really cool. It looked like a new version of the legendary Questar 3.5" Maksutovs which, 50 years after they first appeared, still have no equal.

I've always been intrigued by astronomy and wanted a telescope to explore the solar system. I finally bought an ETX90 with high expectations. The first thing I discovered was it's hard to set up a telescope for accurate orientation to the North Star if you have limited visibility to the north!
